Cycling and yoga, a winning combo

Have you been waiting for this? Here it is: your first video yoga session with Émilie Vion, state-qualified psychomotrician and certified yoga teacher! Made especially for you, Les Bornées members!

This session is suitable for all levels, whether you’re a beginner or already have some yoga experience, it’s made for you. Thanks to this video class format, you can practice as much as you like, whenever you like, and even with whomever you like!

The session lasts 40 to 45 minutes and can be done at any time of day, ideally when you wake up or before going to bed. It is not recommended, however, to do it immediately after your workout or a ride.

All you need is a mat and you’re ready to go! No other equipment is required.

Yoga has many benefits for us cyclists and athletes in general. Firstly, it improves our strength and endurance. It also relaxes our tense muscles. What’s more, you’ll be more in tune with your senses, and more aware of your body. You’ll be able to adapt your posture to the pain you feel, especially on a bike. Last but not least, you’ll develop an ironclad mentality as you draw on your reserves. As you can see, there’s nothing but good to be gained from practising yoga!

During this session, you’ll work on your breathing as well as your posture. You’ll also strengthen your muscles, especially your abs, and adopt postures designed to relax you.

Enjoy your session and Namasté!

Hydration, the key to a successful effort

We’re delighted to introduce Nouchka, a qualified dietician nutritionist and triathlete. Nouchka will be working with Bornées and its members on a series of videos in which she will share her knowledge and expertise, and offer advice on how to optimize your sporting and cycling performance.

So here’s the first video in the series: hydration for athletes.

Indispensable before, during and after exercise, hydration helps to avoid and prevent all types of injury, from the most benign to the most serious. With water and “exercise” drinks, you’ll discover everything you need to keep well hydrated during your sports sessions and in everyday life.

Enjoy the video!
