The trip story
An Olympic-sized pool placed on the lake
Aqualac has an advantage that few swimming pools can claim: its 50-meter Olympic pool opens directly onto Lake Bourget, France's largest natural lake. You get out of the water, and the water is still there, as far as the eye can see.
It is in this setting that we are reserving a swimming lane for ten swimmers: the conference room a stone's throw from the pools for theory, the lakeside esplanade for a break between sessions, and Aix-les-Bains all around, a spa town nestled between the water and the Revard mountains.
> Swimming while looking at the lake, debriefing with your feet in the grass: the setting does half the work.

Frequently asked questions
Being comfortable swimming 200m without stopping is enough. Everything after that is built on individual feedback: everyone progresses on their own priorities, whatever their starting level.
Swimsuit, cap and goggles. If you have hand paddles or a pull buoy, bring them along.
Not at all: most people come on their own. The group of ten and the weekend's shared tables do the rest.
Yes: the weekend is about efficiency and ease in the water, not competition. Whether you're preparing for a triathlon, an open-water swim or simply want to swim better, you'll leave with practical tools to use from your very next training sessions.
Share your feelings, even if they're honest and nuanced: it guides future adventurers and earns you Club points.

How much time can you give us ?

Tell us about your dream trip (for you, or for your whole crew): we'll get back to you, and if it doesn't exist yet, we can create it.
And in the meantime, there's surely a free ride near you.
Your request is on its way: we'll reply as soon as we can with a proposal in true Les Bornées colours. In the meantime, keep the pace on Smatchy.
