Conquer your first mountain passes or rack up the vertical gain: two days of cycling between lake and mountains, alongside Thibault, a passionate local coach, to discover the most beautiful routes around Aix-les-Bains.

Two formats, two weekends: First Mountain Passes (July 3-4, 2027) to discover the mountains without pressure, at the group's pace; Vertical Gain Challenge (July 17-18, 2027) to tackle 2,000m of elevation on Saturday and 1,500m on Sunday, at a sustained pace.

Departures are from the Aqualac base, on the shore of Lac du Bourget. You choose your accommodation freely; we'll take care of the rest: the routes, the coach's advice, reserved tables, and the peloton's WhatsApp group.

Frequently asked questions

What level do I need for the First cols format?

If you already ride regularly and want to discover the mountains, this is for you. No set pace: the distance adapts to the group and Thibault is with you on every climb and every descent.

And for the Stacking the climbing format?

This format is for cyclists at ease in the mountains: at least 2,000m of climbing on Saturday, 1,500m on Sunday, and a strong pace (over 26km/h average, climbing included). If you're torn between the two formats, drop us a line: we'll help you choose.

Where do I sleep? Where do I eat?

Accommodation is up to you, so everyone can tailor the weekend to their budget: we send you our selection of partner accommodation and good addresses after you sign up. For meals, we book the group's tables (crêperie on Friday evening for early arrivals, bakery on Saturday lunch, Savoyard specialities on Saturday evening, bistro on Sunday lunch) and everyone settles their own share on site.

How do the departures work?

All rides start from the Aqualac base, by the lake: easy to find, 15 minutes' walk from Aix-les-Bains station, with parking nearby. Sunday's timing is set so you can catch your train home.
